CAPSTONE
LatAm Private Banking Summer Analyst at JP Morgan Chase & Co.
During Summer 2021, I had the opportunity to work alongside the Latin American Private Bank at JP Morgan. Specifically, I worked with clients from all over the Central and South America (CASA) region. Through JP Morgan's global presence, I was able to work with bankers in Europe as well, covering clients in the UK, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. My role as a Private Banking Summer Analyst consisted of conducting prospect research to locate new potential global clients, construct portfolio suggestions for international client, and research international political risk that our clients may be exposed to. Also, I had the opportunity to gain industry experience by working with Banker's on real- world situations as they arose; for example, when the Federal Reserve announced their decision on rates, I conducted an analysis of each Latin American country, determining how our new monetary policy would affect clients' portfolios across regions. Overall, I was able to gain a global perspective as to how wealth is built, protected and transferred across various international borders and extensive family trees.

The Bridge Builder
~ Will Allen Dromgoole
An old man going a lone highway,
Came, at the evening cold and gray,
To a chasm vast and deep and wide.
Through which was flowing a sullen tide
The old man crossed in the twilight dim,
The sullen stream had no fear for him;
But he turned when safe on the other side
And built a bridge to span the tide.
“Old man,” said a fellow pilgrim near,
“You are wasting your strength with building here;
Your journey will end with the ending day,
You never again will pass this way;
You’ve crossed the chasm, deep and wide,
Why build this bridge at evening tide?”
The builder lifted his old gray head;
“Good friend, in the path I have come,” he said,
“There followed after me to-day
A youth whose feet must pass this way.
This chasm that has been as naught to me
To that fair-haired youth may a pitfall be;
He, too, must cross in the twilight dim;
Good friend, I am building this bridge for him!”
